New SmartKnit range conserves energy and reduces costs

BC Softwear, a UK-based provider of luxury linens, has launched a new range of SmartKnit towels, as an eco-aware alternative for spas.

Part of the SmartSoft collection, a curated range of products including the SupremeSoft spa linen, the SmartKnit towels are an environmentally-conscious option designed to save energy and reduce water consumption.

Made from an 80:20 blend of natural cotton and polyester, the towels weigh 3.5 per cent less than regular towels and require less water and energy to launder. They are made through a process called reactive dyeing, which uses 60 per cent less water than traditional dyeing.

The towels are available in three sizes; hand towel, bath towel and bath sheet, and three colour ways; white, pebble and slate grey.

Barbara Cooke, CEO and founder of BC Softwear, says: "With the introduction of SmartKnit BC Softwear can provide sustainable solutions from the hotel bedroom to the spa treatment couch."

"SmartSoft is designed to conserve energy and reduce costs right across your business."
